Alison Krauss, 最著名的When you say nothing at all(永远有多远) 被无数人当作心中永恒的经典。冷山中那首动人的The Scarlet Tide的演唱者.获得2004年奥斯卡最佳电影歌曲提名。
在和联合车站乐队的合作后,Union Station的Bluegrass威力又像是幫她往前推了一把，讓已經擁有翅膀的Alison又添加一道光環.当一位乡村电台DJ某天在节目中播放Alison精选专辑主打歌「When You Say Nothing At All」后，每天如浪潮般的点歌频率，开启了乡村音乐的一个新传奇。Alison在1995年与Union Station合作的精选大碟，曾是乡村音乐排行榜第2名、流行音乐专辑第15名，全美销量达二百万张，这对于一个乡村歌手而言，是相当大的数目。不过与其说专辑得到如此多的成功是个意外，不如承认Alison无可否认十分甜美的歌喉，及用心演唱的态度，才是让她长久以来受歌迷肯定的主要原因。 16岁时，Alison Krauss(艾莉森.克罗丝)与美国乡村音乐最重要的独立唱片公司Rounder签约，发行的第一张个人专辑，立刻成为乐评家的最爱。18岁首度获得葛莱美奖，之后又继续获得无数乡村音乐奖项，其中包括11项葛莱美奖,总总的荣耀应该
都是因为她从小苦学古典小提琴、民谣小提琴及歌唱技巧。
作为电影「新娘百分百」主题曲「When You Say Nothing At All」原唱者，与罗南诠释方式不同，Alison温柔舒服的唱腔，搭配着吉他和钢琴伴奏，简单又令人感动不已；乐评家均认为AKUS(Alison Krauss and Union Station)从80年代末至90年代中，将草根蓝调音乐从地方性音乐带领成为全世界均能接受的乐风，在乐坛占有举足轻重的地位。
