Carpenters（卡朋特）的《Yesterday Once More》、《Close To You》、《Top Of The World》偶非常喜欢，当然还有这首《This Masquerade》（化妆舞会）。经典老歌，奥斯卡名曲，也是电影《情人》主题曲。整个电影都是在这种略带忧郁的曲子中展开，卡朋特的诠释方式总是能让音乐触动人的心灵。
旋转，相望，分离。我们不许彼此了解，不许说出自己的感觉。这是规则，谁先摘下面具，谁就失去了继续游戏的资格。在这场孤独的游戏中，我们真的快乐么。忧郁的女声反复吟唱，we are lost in a masquerade。我们都迷失了，心疼了，却不能停止这场华丽的表演。（网络整理）

哎，大爱呀~~~想当年，我从我老叔那里继承第一张正版的磁带就是Carpenters的，那真是翻来覆去的听呀，很幸福地说，这首曲子也是其中之一~所以现在沉浸在幸福的回忆中

第一次听到这首卡彭特的this masquerade是在梁家辉主演的《情人》中。
故事在淡淡的忧郁和回忆中展开，旋律为影片平添了异样的沉静的美，与梁家辉那白色的身影、抑郁的气质、迷茫的神情、欲爱不能的悲哀完美得相互辉映，象雾霭升起时的人的心情。
