舒淇、赵薇、莫文蔚主演的电影《夕阳天使》，平庸的剧情在《Close To You》主题音乐烘托之下，竟然显得颇为脱俗。由此可见这只歌曲的神奇魔力……

1969年11月15日，首张专辑《CLOSE TO YOU》发行。从此，卡彭特兄妹演唱组的事业蒸蒸日上。70年，各种音乐渠道都一致推崇他们为最耀眼的新星。他们的演出也场场爆满，演出合同一直排到年终。
70年、71年连续两年，卡彭特兄妹赢得格莱密最佳二重唱奖。七十年代的美国，是一个需要平和而温柔的时代，几乎每个人都急切地盼望关怀自己的内心，卡朋特的成功也是顺乎时代的需求的。到目前为止，他们在全世界大约销售了十亿套唱片。而且卡彭特兄妹在美国拥有以下荣誉：八项金质纪念册；五项铂金纪念册和十项唯一金奖；在1970年至1980年期间美国销售量最好的小组。在他们的第一年里，他们获得四项头等的五种成功，是那段时期任何艺术家的两倍。在拥有最著名两项成功的艺术家中位居第二。卡彭特兄妹拥有五项，Elvis Presley拥有六项。
然而正当卡朋特兄妹一帆风顺的时候，悲剧不期而至。由于BillBoard杂志的一位作者讽刺卡伦的体态过于丰满，她便开始节食而日渐消瘦，为保持身体苗条还服用轻泻剂。但物极必反，过度节食使卡伦患上了”精神形厌食症。
尽管专辑《美国制造》于1981年出版而再度引起人们关注，但好景不长，卡伦因慢性厌食和神经过敏于1983年2月4日死在深爱她的父母怀中。她死时只有三十二岁。卡朋特乐队也到此终结，留给人们的是无穷的遗憾。

能听音乐的感觉是美好的，
能在安静的夜听到这首close to you，更加美好。
我切听过孙燕姿和仓木麻衣的版本，可惜，不够完美，只是2人声线和唱功真的不俗。

如果没记错<夕阳天使>里是莫文蔚唱的版本.我觉得她唱得不错.
