Blur在1989年组建于伦敦,最初起名为Seymour.经过了大量的演出并录制了一盘样带后,乐队签约于EMI的子公司Food唱片,并在公司负责人的建议下将更名为Blur。

最初,Blur是众多Stone Roses时期的英国乐队之一.风格属于迷幻的流行吉他,只是没有嘈杂的吉他.随着90年代初期翻唱风的盛行,小组成为英国最受欢迎的乐队之一,并奠定其继the Kinks,the Small Faces,the Who,the Jam,the Madness,和the Smiths之后英国的guitar-pop风格的继承人的地位。在这个过程中,小组创立了一种被称做Brit-pop的新的风格,乐队歪曲的歌词及对英国流行风格的准确把握使其成为了Brit-pop的领头人,但是Blur很快就几乎被运动限制住了,因为他们使最主要的乐队,所以当运动进行不下去时乐队也几乎支撑不下去了.通过一些混合了indie-rock和lo-fin的重新创作,在90年代末,作为一支art-pop乐队,Blur重新振作起来并在97年在美国取得了巨大的成功.不过乐队以前的风格还是在英国保留了下来.通过巧妙的为本国的流行风格注入新的元素,他们重新振兴了guitar- pop并将它带入了90年代.

喜欢的他们的这首“The Universal”，悲壮浩大的弦乐伴奏+Damon Albarn刻板呆滞却充满心痛无奈的声音着实令人痴迷。（网络整理）

老鬼。急事儿
想起一首歌，麦田里面的。
曾经特别喜欢，现在到专门存麦田音乐的文件夹找不到，才发现漏了很多没收进去，包括这首。

我想要寻的那首歌。
只有淡淡的吉他伴奏，歌词大意是讲一个女人，可以得到所有礼物却不需要开口，可以飞去巴黎。可以在房子里用上所有的化妆品，当一个小丑也可以……
整首歌很平淡，但是有一种摄人心魂的魅力。
歌者的声音略哑，有一点holly throsby的那首we are good people but why don’t we show it 的那种感觉。

有人想起来了么？

男聲部分超級好聽..

很经典的一个乐队，Damon是一个不错的主唱。
这首歌的MV明显是发条橙的风格，很诡异的黑眼圈，很cult……
